BEFORE THE MONTHLY BID
These events occur roughly two months before the bid period and help shape training, vacation and reserve preferences before the main PBS window opens.
17th • 2 months prior
FDO bidding opens in FLICA at 09:00 LDT.
19th • 2 months prior
FDO award is due in FLICA by 12:00 LDT.
20th • 2 months prior
Vacation Adjustment Period and Golden Day training designation open in FLICA at 09:00 LDT.
22nd • 2 months prior
Vacation Adjustment Period and Golden Day designation close at 12:00 LDT.
23rd • 2 months prior
Recurrent training bidding opens in NavBlue at 09:00. Verify the applicable published time zone.
25th • 2 months prior
Recurrent training bidding closes in NavBlue at 09:00.
27th • 2 months prior
Recurrent training awards are due in NavBlue by 17:00.
MONTHLY PBS CYCLE
1st
Monthly PBS bidding opens in NavBlue at 09:00.
3rd
Preliminary NavBlue awards are expected by 17:00 ET. This is your chance to review the direction of the award before the bid closes.
5th
Monthly bidding closes in NavBlue at 12:00.
6th
Daily Open Time is frozen for the final six days of the current bid period at 12:00.
8th
Captain bid awards are published in NavBlue by 12:00.
10th
First Officer bid awards are published in NavBlue by 12:00.
11th
Daily Open Time is unfrozen for the final six days of the current bid period at 18:00.
12th
Misaward review period closes at 17:00.
13th
Captain Daily Open Time opens. Captain reserve drop/trade/swap opens in FLICA at 09:00.
14th
First Officer Daily Open Time opens. FO reserve drop/trade/swap opens in FLICA at 09:00.
Time-zone note: Some published events are based on Denver time rather than domicile local time. Always use the current official bid package or ALPA notice when a deadline matters.
CONTRACT 25.L QUICK REFERENCE
Until 09:30: DDL is due.
09:30: DAG opens.
DAG remains open for applicable deadhead assignments.
Trip drops close and Open Time is frozen. Management / No-Bid flying may be added during this window.
Aggressive Reserve opens.
Aggressive Reserve closes.
Reserve assignments begin. Notification deadline applies if not AVA for the next day.
Aggressive Reserve awards should be finalized no later than this point.
AVA reserves call for assignments during the published window.
3 hours prior: trades no longer permitted.
09:30–10:30: Management / No-Bid additions may occur.
Departure: operate the sequence.
