Key Reserve Concepts

FIFO

First-in/first-out is used as an assignment-order concept within groups of similarly available reserve pilots. Review current CBA language and Scheduling guidance for the actual assignment rules.

Short Call

Reserve with a defined availability period and short report requirement. Your exact obligations depend on the active RDP and current contractual rules.

Long Call / FDO

Long-call reserve uses a longer notification window. FDO lines and other reserve structures may have separate restrictions and assignment rules.

Aggressive Reserve

A process allowing eligible reserve pilots to seek certain open sequences. Eligibility, award order and pay treatment should be checked against current CBA guidance.

Trades / Swaps / Drops

FLICA is used for many reserve schedule adjustments. Contractual minimum blocks, coverage and other limits may apply.

Legality

Use FFT’s FAR 117 / RDP tools as a reference, then verify against official company and regulatory sources.
